Resources For Cabin Renters:

How Rent (and Utilities) Is Invoiced and Paid – Rent is due by the first business day of the month and is paid by the 1st business day of the month. We accept check or direct deposit payments.

Utilities: Electric, Well Water and Internet Service Providers – None of the units have gas heat. Wood burning stoves are the main heat source for most structures (or a heavy electric bill). The internet is far from the best out here, but at least it gives you the illusion of options! (Pssst: Go Ceder cause it’s the same but more local!)

Parking Rules, Standards & Common Courtesy – Parking is very limited and tight in our complex! Everyone deserves to be able to park in front of their own house. Vehicle management becomes even more important during the winter, when the plows are making their rounds. Here’s our policies on parking.

No Laundry (Washers / Dryers) In Cabins – The closest laundromat is Florida Laundry in Durango. We’ve got Google Maps and route guidance for you on this page. There’s also the option of purchasing a smaller washer unit that can fit within any cabin. Worst case scenario, just go jump in the pond out front of Helen’s and you’ll be fine!

Wood Burning Stoves: Safety and Gathering Wood – There is a wood burning stove in every cabin. Wood burning stoves is the heating source of choice, due to the cost effectiveness and heat generated. With wood burning stoves comes fire risk, and it’s important to follow these precautions.

Pet Information (We Love Dogs!) – Aspen Mountain Cabins is a pet-friendly community. We are dog owners ourselves and accept all furry or scaly friends! Just be sure to keep your pets safe and everyone safe from your pets. Also make sure to keep pet damage and dirtiness controlled!
